  • The Juggernaut is a publication that features untold and smart South Asian stories. They accept stories on culture, politics, business, and technology. A few common formats that they publish are: features (1,000 to 2,000 words), Q&As/profiles (500 to 1,000 words), and essays (500 to 2,000 words).   • Phenomenal World is a publication that features research, analysis, and commentary on social sciences. The publication is managed by staff of the Jain Family Institute (JFI). They publish content by JFI staff and fellows, as well as by external researchers and writers. They “welcome submissions on any topic in the social sciences, particularly economics, history, philosophy, sociology, economic history, and kindred fields.” Their interests are very broad.   • Chaos+Comrades is “a publication run by minorities who seek to break down identities by fostering unity and understanding through multimedia storytelling.” They are seeking POC or queer doctors/nurses to write a first-person essay about the COVID-19 pandemic.   • Women Under Siege is a Women's Media Center’s project that documents and investigates gendered or sexualized violence in conflict. They originally focused on stories of gendered violence in conflict but branched out to gender stories in international contexts. They are always open to pitches.
