The Big Issue is a fortnightly, independent magazine based in Australia.  They publish articles on a wide variety of topics including “arts and entertainment, street culture, lifestyle and personal profiles.” Their feature stories are of 850 to 1,800 words, columns are of 600 words and one-page pieces are of 700 to 850 words.
