Art UK is Seeking Story Pitches from Black Writers

Art UK is the online home of the United Kingdom’s public art collections. They are actively seeking story pitches from Black writers who have experience writing about the arts. They mainly publish “stories about broader themes in art history, artworks, artists and collections represented on the site – as well as interviews with artists and museum professionals.” They typically pay £100 to £150 (800 to 1,500 words). Art UK is Accepting Pitches

Art UK is the online home of the United Kingdom’s public art collections. Their aim is to tell stories behind the UK’s art. They publish “stories about broader themes in art history, artworks, artists and collections represented on the site – as well as interviews with artists and museum professionals.” Anyone is welcome to pitch but they especially encourage pitches from writers from marginalized backgrounds. Art UK is “the online home for every public art collection in the UK.” They are seeking “pitches from disabled writers who want to write about art and artists.” They pay £100 to £150 for pieces of 700 to 1,200 words.
