The Dream Foundry is a nonprofit organization that is “dedicated to helping new professionals in the speculative genres.”
They are currently hosting a contest for people who are new to writing. To join the contest, you must not have published more then 4,000 words of paid speculative fiction in English, or earned a total of more than $320 USD.
To enter the contest, submit a finalized speculative fiction story up to 10,000 words via their submission manager.
The contest has a total of $1700 in prizes, including a $1000 first place prize.
The submission manager is a bit difficult to navigate, but they are still open for submissions until October 11th, 2021.

The Dream Foundry is a nonprofit

business, industry, or how-tos geared toward new creatives of ALL types.
Artists, podcasters, editors, translators, game designers - hit us up!” They
pay $60 per article (about 750 words). Pitches should be sent to content@dreamfoundry.org. For more
